About Us

"Keeping the Spirit of the Classic Mini Alive"
Our aim here at Classic Minis 'r' Us is to bring to Classic Mini enthusiasts all over the world quality items of interest and to "Keep the Spirit of the Classic Mini Alive".

My wife and I live in south-western Ontario in Canada. Locally, I was christened the "The Miniman" because of our beloved classic Mini.
My real name is Graham Potts and we are classic Mini enthusiasts! How did I get the nickname of "The Miniman"? Well in our part of Canada there are not a lot of classic Minis on the ground, especially the flat-fronted nose example called the Clubman. Ours is a 1975 which is rare here as well as being a 4-speed automatic variant which makes it even rarer still. We bought it when I was working as a computer consultant in England. When I first started taking it out of the garage after bringing it back to Canada, all the kids in the neighbourhood use to come on the driveway and were all around it. None of them knew what it was and when I told them what kind of car it was they all started calling me "The Miniman" and then their parents started calling me the same. Anyway, when people see us in our little Mini they call me "The Miniman". That is what they call me to my face. When my back is turned, I am not sure what they call me? But I always oblige them when it comes to their curious questions.

We were introduced to the amazing world of Mini ownership when we bought our first Mini in 1963. It was a brand-new Cooper 'S'. We were simply enthralled with this perfect tiny, little car. It was pure magic! We instantly loved this perfect car. We had loads of fun everywhere we went with that unique car and everyone was excited to talk to us about it.

Since that first Mini, our desire snowballed through the years and ensured that the Cooper was not the last Mini that we would adopt. We say adopt because they steal your heart away and you love them even more. The overwhelming desire to own a Mini was inherited by our son and his partner, who themselves have 'adopted' over five Minis over the years.

With over 40 years of proud Mini ownership, we have seen them all. We have lived, ate, and breathed Minis. Over these years, we have developed such a great love for the Mini and we will do our best to "Keep the spirit of the Classic Mini alive" so that we can convert as many people as possible to become classic Mini enthusiasts themselves and soon have them being a proud Mini owner!
